PLC: Scouts with troop positions gather monthly at Patrol Leader Councils to plan the next month of activity in the troop and discuss patrol progress in earning the National Honor Patrol award.
SPC: Scouts with troop positions plan the outings for the next year. Semiannual Planning Conferences occur every six months.
PLCs and SPCs are mandatory for scouts that are patrol leaders. If a patrol leader is unable to attend, another scout from that patrol should represent them at the meeting. Scouts without leadership positions are welcome to attend, but it is not required.
